[Ka-lee-kas] Cakes is a new family-owned home bakery in South Carolina, dedicated to creating delicious, fun and stunning treats for all occasions. With a passion for baking and creativity, I strive to bring smiles to my customers' faces with every creation.
My story
My name is Chelsea, and I am a home baker, who loves baking in my free time. I have two beautiful kids who I love to create fun and delicious cakes for their birthdays. I have always loved baking since I was a little girl, but it really started with my daughter's 4th birthday party. She wanted a purple princess cake. I remember going through Pinterest for cake ideas and when I found one, I thought to myself, "Maybe I can make it!?" I remember seeing her eyes widen as we brought the cake out to her. She was so excited for it, and it wasn't even that good, but she loved it. Since then, I have made all the birthday cakes in my household.
My philosophy
My philosophy is creating fun and delicious cakes that are made from scratch. We strive to make treats that you know the listed ingredients. Your cake should be delicious and be free of unwanted chemicals. Being able to express myself through creativity, is truly a joy for me. I love finding new techniques to try. My favorite part when presenting a cake to someone, is seeing their eyes light up. We're not just baking cakes, we're making memories.
